Digital Adveritising
I worked on various Advertising Graphics for Orion Magazine in my time at the non-profit from fundraising efforts to issue specific promotions. Below are the varying designs, each for a specific campaign planned out by Orion’s Digital Strategist.
Orion is a nonprofit, ad-free, quarterly magazine whose mission is to invite readers into a community of caring for the planet falling under the book and periodical publishing industry. Based in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Orion Logo is owned by Orion Magazine, no copyright infringement intended.

Provided with adorable and comical photographs of snails in a mini bedroom by Orion, these assets were created for digital communications alongside the release of the Love Issue in 2023. Copy and design by me!
“Join the Love,” Postcard Variation Donation Promo.

“More Reading for Bedtime,” Donation Promo.

“Support Slow Reading,” Donation Promo.
Barbara Ellen Kingsolver, a Pulitzer Prize-winning American writer whose work reflects her upbringing in Appalachia, had supported Orion in one of their donation campaigns. Deriving copy from her letter urging readers to donate, these were designed specifically for social media “story” format and for facebook post format.

Promotional assets to encourage subscription to the Orion Magazine. Statistical data depicted that there was a divide between funding that went towards the quarterly magazines and towards sustaining the people keeping Orion Magazine alive. Keeping in mind the content of the magazine, all concepts were deeply rooted in nature.

The images with animal eyes in black and white reflect that 65% of the funding that is utilized for the creation of the magazine. The images with animal eyes in color reflect that 35% of the funding that supports the team behind the magazine creation.

To include engaging and eye-catching promotional assets that also follow the visual identity of the magazine and the issue to the website, I proposed motion design graphics based on expected dimensions. As much of my other work at Orion, I also created templates for future use by the next designers on the team.

Promotional gif for the Winter 2023, Courting Disaster: Romance in the Climate Crisis Issue. Spreads were lower in quality intentionally due to actual promotional assets published on the website in smaller dimensions and to highlight layout design rather than the content for promotions.

Promotional gif for the Spring 2024, Rites of Nature: The Soil and Scenery of Spiritual Traditions Issue. Spreads were lower in quality intentionally due to actual promotional assets published on the website in smaller dimensions and to highlight layout design rather than the content for promotions.

Product Mockup: Book.
As Orion was gearing up to launch their new website in the summer of 2024, I worked up updating all product pictures on their website. I maintained cohesiveness by only choosing background colors from the visual identity of Orion’s rebrand that suited the product and utilizing measured drop shadow details for all products.
